Taught in small groups with hands-on tuition.
This class will introduce children to the basics of cooking and will include how to handle a knife and chop safely as well as an outline of some basic cooking principles, i.e. steaming, boiling etc. It will also cover the basics of nutrition, hygiene and food preparation as well as giving practical experience in cooking manageable dishes - prepared and cooked from scratch. During the class the children will learn to cook one main dish and one dessert.
